I love mistakes. Periodt. When I make stuff, my goal is to make all the mistakes. Mistakes help me figure out what doesn’t work, so that I might figure out what does. When you look at a finished piece of mine, just know that you are looking at the tip of the iceberg. Beneath the surface is a glacier of failed attempts and experiments.
This is a photo of me in my studio, with all of my mistakes laid out before me. OK, mistakes might be too harsh a word. Really, they are more like experiments. While the final version of this lion was made in a few hours, the whole process really took a few months, maybe even years.
