Thank you for sharing that quote on the wall; "An artist is an ordinary person who can take ordinary things and make them special". I needed that today!

"Her work is more than the objects themselves — it’s the shadows they cast. " CHILLS.
I finally got back for the first time in a long time to the Crystal Bridges Museum of Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, not long ago, and it was really great (and had a wonderful Yayoi Kusama exhibit going). But what I was most surprised by were the pieces in their collection that were exactly the same this visit, but *I* now felt quite differently about--same art, same (as far as I recall) space, saying something completely different to (I guess) a different me. Art being seen via my own internal lighting conditions, and therefore, reflecting differently.
Thank you for all you share, Christian. :) Such a good reminder to give myself the treat of an art date soon.
Your posts are always so inspiring. I hope we can collaborate on something animated one day. I’m a huge fan of your work. Thanks for sharing your stories with us. ✨
Hi Christian, I really love this post and the beautiful drawing that you made. It really made me smile. I’m a huge fan of Ruth’s work having stumbled across it by accident when I was visiting Oxford in England a couple of years ago. It’s so beautiful there’s a really fab podcast about her on the Great Women Artists
Ipodcast which is super interesting. Thanks for sharing. This is such a gorgeous space you have created. Emilia 🌟
Not lately, but I’m planning to see this show when school lets out for the summer. This piece makes me even more excited to see the show. And now, the people!
Loved seeing Ruth Asawa's work through your eyes, I just listened to this podcast about her work and life. https://soundcloud.com/thegreatwomenartists/emma-ridgway-on-ruth-asawa
So this was a happy connection to see more of her work today.
Such a good podcast about her!
